ceasing-ish to be idol.

dear massively full laundry baskets, extra long work to-do lists, random side scrapbooking projects, overgrown eyebrows, empty fridge, shamefully-dusty scriptures, packed g-mail inbox, birthday thank-yous that have yet to be all finished/mailed, angieinshape blog, bathrooms that desperately need to be scrubbed, and mail that hasn’t been checked in a week,

i hereby vow to stop ignoring you.

{confession: pregnancy related nausea is making me & my sweet side-kick supa lazy.}

but: we are tired of watching CNN & a bug’s life alongside our respective barf/popcorn bowls, in our pajamas all day.

SO here’s to a [happy] and PRODUCTIVE september...
{1.5 days late}

all my love,
angie

  1. Just so you don't feel bad, I'm publicly confessing that I laid in bed this morning and watched a movie. Post vacation stress syndrome. Not really...a RARE night of insomnia caught up with me. Good luck, but don't overdo it! Oh, and P.S., no pressure but we need to go b-day shopping!

  3. I hear ya. We clean out the junk room yesterday. It took 5 months to get too, but now I'm at the beginning of being on a roll.

    Good Luck and keep it up!

  4. Hey you, simma down girl. No need to push the envelope(spoken by one who sat around a few child- bearing years)... you could get in the middle of a load of laundry .... and,as the bumper sticker says "nausea happens", putting you woefully behind again. So till that goes away, hold tight and enjoy the gratitude of "the bow" being so easy going and Myron too. I can testify that it will all still be there when you are in your 2nd trimester. Promise. Love you blog, thanks for twinkle in your eye!

  16. Ick! Sorry you are feeling gross, have you tried a fresh lime (sprite with lime) from Sonic? These are a must when I am pregnant, the BEST help with the pukishness.

    I used to send Mike to Parker's drive-in (any former AF-er should know of it)EVERY night when pregnant with Adilynn. He would walk-in and they would kindly say "large fresh lime, is that all?" Poor guy, but seriously they work wonders! Good luck!

  18. Seriously, pregnancy just makes us lazy! With good reason, though. I could have written a very, very similar letter myself this week, although substituting massively TMI late-pregnancy ailments for the barf bowl...

    Anyway, best of luck tackling your to-do list. Take it easy and if you accomplish one thing per day then I say you're doing pretty darn good!

  19. kind of a weird visual-barf/popcorn bowl.... BTW I LOVE your latest song download. One of my all time fav movies-Dan in Real Life. In fact, I think I'll go watch it now!!! Remember-you're not doing nothing-you're growing another life!! and that's doing something great.

  24. So I decided that you, me, Becky, and Ginny should perhaps pay Julie and SBE for working today. Because we mostly ate donuts. And talked. And all learned interesting things from each other.

  25. oh so sorry girly but, do take it easy. You have an excuse right?
    I dont' like the nausea at first.
    with my 1st and 3rd that was yucky, 1st thing in the morning. With my 2nd I was from 16 weeks on very sick with IV"S in my arms at home until about the last month.
    then throughout the whole delivery, nausea came again to remind me........it is the end of this. LOL

    take care of yourself.

    but seriously, i don't think anyone but you can make morning sickness so poetic! hang in there...the best is yet to come.
    love ya!

  27. Too bad about the Pregnancy Sickness.....I remember each time I was pregnant I would feel so tired like all day until about my 5th month. Then I felt better & more energized. I hope you will feel better soon!!! ♥
