me

I recently took a personality test through
Rachel’s blog,here...

It was really fun.
You should try.

I answered a bunch of questions & then they told me that I was this:

You are The Giver

You strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and usually succeed. Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections. Sometimes you idealize relationships too much - and end up being let down. You find the most energy and comfort in social situations ... where you shine. In love, you are very protective and supporting. However, you do need to "feel special" - and it's quite easy for you to get jealous. At work, you are a natural leader. You can help people discover their greatest potential. You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist. How you see yourself: Trusting, idealistic, and expressive. When other people don't get you, they see you as: Bossy, inappropriate, and loud.

My results were not as true of a match as I had anticipated.
So I wrote my own version of my personality; no test required.

[Caution: longer than life.]

You are Angie-ish.

You are imaginative, creative, and a whole lotta crazy. You see your world in bright colors. You are enthusiastic about life, unless it involves calling someone on the phone, wearing tight and uncomfortable clothing, participating in awkward confrontation, or going to the gynecologist.

Strengths include: counting large piles of cardstock, seeing the cup half-full or more {usually}, enjoying the simple things, consuming mass quantities of brown bubbly drink & coloring in between the lines.

Weaknesses include: basic coordination, self-esteem, spelling and grammar, charging cell phones, and taking binkies away from somewhat addicted toddlers.

You over analyze just about everything because you care too much about just about everything. You are deeply sensitive, which can be good or bad, depending on the situation, and whether or not it causes a stomach ulcer.

If you could describe yourself in one word, it would be passionate.

You despise competition, although you often compare yourself to others. Conflict makes your stomach turn, although you seem to be a magnet for drama.

You are a people pleaser. Meaning just that…you really like to please people. Seeing people smile makes you smile. You believe there is beauty in every person, regardless of their struggles. You believe in paying it forward. You believe friendship knows no religion. You believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt. You try not to judge. And sometimes you have a bad day & forget all of that. But by the grace o’ the heavens above, remember it the next morning, or week, {or month}.

You view yourself as a child of God, who knows their purpose and direction. And sometimes you view yourself as too chubby, but not enough to limit your portions.

People that don’t get you, view you as sorta weak & doormat-esque, annoyingly random, obnoxiously obsessed with all things pink, and somewhat idealistic.

Well, sorry to break it to you honey, but you ARE super idealistic. You believe that anyone can do anything they put their mind to. You are kinda cheesy & highly enjoy all things warm & fuzzy.

You are also extremely addicted to sugar.

You delight in 5th grade level reading, cozying up in a blankie & watching The Hills post-chlo-bedtime, chatting with myron into the wee hours of the night, self-help literature, flats/not heals, elbow length sleeves, a good & satisfying cleaning spree, homes where The Spirit is just palpable, office supplies, walks around the neighborhood in 78.4 degree weather, and bribing children at the scrapbook store w/ a delectable lollipop.

When you are stressed, you pick at your thumbs until you have hangnails with their own heartbeats.

At work you tend to procrastinate. You constantly have too much on your plate because you have way too many “desires of your heart” for yourself & your family. {ie: cute curtains, matching [fill in the blank], happy afternoons at the park & spiritual family home evening lessons.} You love your job, but hate it when it means no sleep for three straight days because you played too much & forgot to pay attention to it.

In love the sky is the limit. You are especially attracted to hysterical freckled redheads named Myron. And Curly Sue-ish, personality-bursting-@-the-seams toddlers named Chloe. You’d do just about anything for them. Including, but not limited to: giving birth, doing the laundry, and going trick-or-treating on your least favorite holiday.

Your family means the world to you. Your mom will always be your best friend & constant voice of reason. You secretly love that several of your family members all have your same large-ish nose, because that means there’s no denying they’re related. You love & appreciate your adoptive family, the Dunns, and all their tiny five dogs: Sassy, Gigi {may she rest in peace}, Daisy May, Gucci Prada, and Suki. You sorta love your own dog, and that’s probably the best you can do.

You believe in taking time out to watch 12.5 shows on television every week. And keeping your hands busy while you are at it. {Or not.}

You wish you didn’t lose your keys 3 times a day @ minimum. You wish you could have a miniature Emily Jones on your shoulder to tell you jokes at random times. You wish you wouldn’t have realized a quarter of the way through fam-photo-shoot this week, {with this cute girl} that your zipper was down slash open. You wish this e-friend was your next door neighbor. You wish confidence & self-security for your Chloe & her brighter-than-bright future. You wish for everyone to view themselves as unique & special. You wish your garage would clean itself.

You dream of someday being even more of a hermit than you already are. Like, for reals in the mountains, in a small-n-charming abode set on 5.2 acres of land, with your man, some chickens, and a hand-sorta-full of kids, grandkids, and wholesome & happy hubbub. Sans cell phones. Oh, and enough fundage to be modestly comfortable and to support your creative habits. And crippling pepsi addiction.

You are just Angie-ish.

{Now, THAT, my friends, is a much more accurate description of my person in a 946-word nutshell...}

PS…Happy November.
