coree-licious shower

tonight clodhopper & i threw a pink/brown baby bash for my adorably prego bffl, coree.
{in celebration of the upcoming arrival of her little ashlee: due july 15th-ish}

coree already has a son, aka dane, aka daners {chloe's bffl}.
so, we figured ashers needed a par-tay of her own!

it was fun.
and it was pink.

the only depressing part of the evening was discovering that all of my pictures {i only took 4 1/2} turned out super lame, hence the only photographic representation of the extravaganza being: fruit kabobs. {yummy!}

anyhow...back to coree.

i met cor my sophmore year in mrs. kovac's food science class. why did i take food science? beats me! perhaps it was fate. {lol} memories of that class include: having a really awkward haircut, being obsessed with a boy named liam that sat in the front row/right column, tasting cow tounge and thinking it reminded me of spoiled bologna, doing all of the druggie kid's homework for them, and...talking coree's ear off! needless to say, she was my lifeline in that class...and has been one of my favorite people to exist ever since!

her husband {bryan w/a y}, and my husband myron, are bffls too. for instance: tonight during the shower, they packed chloe & dane up {strollers & all} and spent a manly evening at bass pro shop together. so tender.

coree is a remarkable friend, who is stinkin' hilarious, so down to earth, genuine, kind, fun, and such an amazing mom to her 2 adorable chillins.

oh, and we like to text each other like 500 times/week.

heavenly father must love me a lot to send me a friend like her. the end.

love ya girl!

Great post! I didn't go to Bass Pro Shop, but fully understand why Bryan and Myron did.

By the way, I like green better than black.

Peter might divorce me if he found out I knew someone who went to the Bass Shop and didn't ask, with on-the-edge-of-my-seat excitement, "HOW WAS IT?"

He's a nerd. Good thing I'm not! Bwhwhahhaaaa...

speaking of bass shops (not that you were LOL) we were driving around this weekend and passed Hobby Lobby. I asked (knowing full well the answer) if we could go. As we kept driving (LOL) he asked about the Bass Shop and if we should kill some time there. My reply? "the bass shop to me is like the hobby Lobby to you" We kept driving! hahaha

Sounds like you had fun & I'm sure your hubbies had fun @ Bass!-at least your Ka-bob pic turned out! Proves that you had good food...if nothing else!

If the kabobs looked that cute, I wish there were pictures of more. I love seeing the way events are decorated. I like the new look of your blog and you finally added some links (and of course thought of clever names for each). I'm trying to see if you added you know who as a link?

speaking of husbands and kabobs... my blog today has a way cute idea from my friend martha. a kabob brekfast for daddies on fathers day. BTW: we love the bass shop. SO much to see and the one in vegas, has a huge water tank where they have girls as mermaids floating around. hmmm real life mermaids.

Well if that wasn't the sweetest blog anyone has ever blogged about me...probably...no IT IS the ONLY blog anyone has ever blogged about me. Thanks Ang. It was truly spectacular and I hope my mom's pics turned out so you can have some pics of the blessed occasion. Because it was adorable and super fun...but that was to be expected! I love you to ieces and pieces!!!

Oh ya...and I would have dropped Food Science like the first day if you weren't in there. The druggies...Hugo...and the cow tongue...it was all a little too much for me. Not to mention that we (mostly you) were seriously those druggies only reason they passed that class...however, Nancy however you spell her last name did provide protection to us both because of that. Oh ya...and Liam was hot...and I was pulling for you two the whole semester, just so you know! Ok that's all!

It really isn't too hard to create a blog top once you figure it out--it does take some playing around (aka wasting time on the computer) at the beginning, but then it is really quite easy. I think I have blog ADD because I get tired of mine after a short period of time and think it needs to be changes. I was also feeling that the last topper was much too autumn/fallish...and needed to be more summerish- so it got a little makeover. You just create it (which you could scrapbook to look beyond amazing and even scan it) or I created mine in publisher and then save it in photoshop or paint as a jpg or bmp file and upload it as a pic! Here's an example!!

I'm with everyone. I love the new look of your blog. I'm a fellow pink fanatic, as well. I'm so happy we're in the same ward now! I love staring at Chloe in all her cuteness! She is seriously perfect! Knowing you, the shower was perfect! Even the fruit kabobs alone look perfect. If, by any chance, you do end up finding more pictures, post 'em!
