I HAVE to make my bed everyday - I swear it makes the biggest difference.
Once, when I was like 7or8, we had a nanny (for like 5 secs)- Maria Pia - and her advice on cleaning a bedroom was to make the bed first, cuz it always makes the mess seem much smaller. Prolly the only thing I learned/remember from her but it was good advice!
Just want you to know- I am in love with your blog. Thought I would comment this time and say hi! So proud of you for making your bed because I think we share the same struggle!
Glad I'm not the only one who hasn't been the most consistent blogger. Good job on makin' the bed. What size of bed do you have? It looks bigger than mine and mine is a California King.
I've totally been thinking about posting this as one of my confessions. I come home for the day usually between 9-10 pm, so why should I make the bed if I'm going to get right back in it? If there's company coming, I'll totally fake like I'm a clean person, but now you know my truth.
That's so true about fitting in life & blogging. Unfortunately for my blogging I've been semi-prioritizing important things, so it's been suffering the consequences.
under NORMAL circumstances, i am an every day bedmaker. however, our circumstances are anything BUT normal lately, so my bed hasn't been made {at least with the comforter/shams etc.} in, oh, almost three years now. i miss the good old days. . .
I love your pics above the bed too. And with everyone else I too LOVE having the bed made but NEVER do it. You are such a good motivater for us all Angie! Cody called me the other day and said something and then used the word: Fantabulous. I laughed because I have never heard that come out of his mouth. He goes, "so did I sound like Angie?" So you have been talked about. Thought I'd tell ya!! Happy Saturday! :) Off to make my bed! :)
What is that small contraption on the right of your bed? Is it a lamp? That's the only good guess I can come up with, but I'm not convinced that that's what it actually is.
Oh, and thanks for the advice on the letters. I did my letter P, and it sucks hardcore, like seriously hardcore. So I'm not sure what I'm going to do, because the letters are pretty big, so 12x12 paper is just not doing the trick without having a billion seams. Anyhoo, thanks for the advice, and sorry that I have asked you like a billion questions only to have it not turn out and be for practically nothing.
Wow, towards the end of that last paragraph I started to sound somewhat suicidal! Anyhoo, cute life as usual, and I am still requesting an e-tour of your house so I can have more ideas to steal!
Well, yes, yes, there is a green chair to the right of the bed, but on the nightstand there is an ipod deck thingy, and a silver lamp that you can't really see because of my crappy photog skills & the sun.
I'm sure your letters are much cuter than you think. You're probably just too close. Ya know?
Yes that definitely counts for something. I can probably count how many times I've made our bed on one hand. Bry usually makes ours, or it goes unmade. lol

Good job on making your bed. I am a slacker on that one and I hate messes. Someday.
it is a fact... if you make your bed everyday you will have a better day.
at least for me it is.
I have gotten to the point that i sleep on top of my made bed with extra blankets just so I don't have to make it. How patheti-sad is that? :)

Your bed makes me wanna take a nap now. Way to make your bed. I agree with everyone...a made bed makes the room seem 95% cleaner.

You did a good job finding that bedskirt. It looks great. Why make the bed if the duvet is at the cleaners? Still love the pictures above the bed...

Looks like a stylish chair to me, Mels.
