7 days on, 7 days off

every other week a giant chunk of my heart travels to morenci, arizona.

it carpools with a nice boy named julio.
it wears a hard hat.
and eats super gross cafeteria food.
and bunks in a small 8x8 room.
and drives a large truck that hauls dirt 13 hours a day.
and calls home every night.

and then, every other week that same giant chunk of my heart travels home to gilbert.

and it sleeps in til 9am with me.
and makes me yummy meals.
and plays, and works, and visits.
and does it's own laundry.
and watches all it's saved dvr'd goodness.
and runs my errands with me.

and makes me really, really happy.

Always fun to have the husband around! I rarely see mine these days with our busy schedules. I think I should make a paper chain to count down my work days. :)

Super cute page kits! One of these days I'll get to scrapbook again.

P.S. Are you finding out what you are having? If so, when is that? I think I need to mark my calendar for such an event.

Sounds like the one week home is worth the one week away. :) I have a friend who has this schedule too -and she loves it, because her girls get so much quality time with their dad -instead of just the energy he has in the evening after work.

I didn't realize he was traveling to Morenci every other week! Where is he working up there? I know those weeks away have got to be hard, but doesn't it make the weeks together that much better?! You guys are a cute family!

7 days on does NOT sound fun...but the 7 days off...of sleeping in, making meals, doing laundry & just hanging out together, sounds WONDERFUL!!! Is this always his schedule or just for awhile?

Your family is SO CUTE. I miss getting to see you guys. Myron was hilar. And the occasional Chloe days were always so fun! And I'm not as lamo & shy anymore, so I'd actually be able to talk more! Man. I'm glad his job is workin out for him though!
