a february goal

my goal for february was to rekindle my
love/hate relationship with the treadmill.

so my man, his best friend, and their muscles
moved it's large-ness from my parent's house to our kitchen,
so that the treadmill & i could start dating again.

so far we've rendezvoused 4 nights in a row.

i told myself:
k, i'm just gonna do [at least] 5 minutes a night...no matter what.

*and then once i've been on there for 5 minutes, i always do more.

i'm extremely out of shape,
with no relief in sight....
so for now,
i'm doing one song walking, one song jogging.

*i kinda hate when the long songs are jogging ones.

me & my [pink] ipod shuffle jam to music that inspires.

& one of these days i'll lose a pound.
hasn't happened yet,
but it will.

with every step i feel myself getting stronger.
with every {gallon} of sweat i feel stress lifting.
with every mile mark i pass, i am healing.

i have a little picture of goal-weight angie propped up there.

i'm excited to work myself to that place physically again....but with better perspective, a healthier self-outlook, and an inner confidence that smaller-sized angie has never known.

but in the meantime,
i'll love where i am & who i am.

movin' forward,
"just keep swimming"-style.

You go girlfriend!
Remember how you started a lil AngieinShape blog & I started walking on the treadmill from it's inspiration & then I ended up losing 40 pounds? YOU.CAN.DO.IT!

And you're already on the right path! I always said I'd just get on the treadmill for a few mins, and then once you're already on, and already had to find socks & tie the darn running shoes, you might as well watch all of Project Runway while walking/jogging. :)

By the looks of this comment, I really like run-on sentences. Sorry bout that. :)

I'm laughing at your "just keep swimming"! Love that. I need to tell myself that more often.

You are amazing! I wish I had the room to put a treadmill. I've looked around this house and tried to figure out where I could put it,but I just don't have any room. So I have to force my big body to go out and walk, which hasn't been going very well. I just want to take a magic pill that will make me instantly look like I did 20-25 years ago.

Go Angie go! You look SO MUCH like Holly in that picture, by the way.

And I totally know what you mean about the younger, richer, whatever version of you not knowing how good she had it. David and I were talking about how it would have been so much easier to graduate from college the first time, you know, when everyone else was doing it...but we didn't know it then, so it would have been wasted on us anyway. Now that we know, we still have to do it the hard way.

Ah well! It will be even sweeter when we all get there.

Well, what a tender surprise to find a sweet hello from you at my world. Thank you for saying what you said in your ever so angieish way. It is a tender place, one where I don't think some would feel comfortable. It is the place that Heavenly Father has asked me to live and blossom.

My heart is so full as I read through your posts, I haven't been here to be uplifted by your pinkness in far to long.

Good luck dating that tread mill! I am proud of you.
The girls are so deliciously adorable and to me you LOOK more than marvelous.

You go girl. I'll hop back on that train in a few weeks. Okay, months.

I was wondering if there was any chance of getting that 12 month boy kit again. It is the 8 1/2 x 11 with one page where you journal milestones and such. Let me know if that's still a possibility.

:) Thanks!
