anyway

Align Centeri've been trying to learn/memorize this quote {1 phrase at a time}
the past couple days...

'cause-truth be told- a lot of times people don't always act how i want them to.

*and i, in turn, [choose] to become {really} cranky about it.
[my sweet, patient myron will testify]

this little diddy by one of my personal faves {mother teresa}
inspires me to just give folks the benefit of the doubt.

*it's like plato said,
"be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."

that's so, so true.

{just so darn hard to recall when
someone is unintentionally/intentionally
pushing your buttons, ya know?}

even if i'm not blatantly mean/rude/unkind,
it still feels crummy inside to have ill thoughts about someone else.
*wouldn't you agree?

i know i'm not the best at practicing
what mother teresa is suggesting here...

but the good news is:
everyday i can start over. {fresh slate style}
and learn, line-upon-line, how to
love anyway.

***

"People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway
.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway
.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating and building, others could destroy overnight.
Create and build anyway
.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway
.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway
.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
Give the world the best you have anyway
.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and
them anyway."

Mother Teresa was a very, very sharp lady. That one is definitely worth memorizing.

I love Mother Teresa......she said something once and it is something I remember quite often...."Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think
that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person
who has nothing to eat."
That is something I always think about and most recently while in California.....there was a homeless man in the fashion district pushing a big grocery cart plum full of his worldly goods and tried to come off a curb and the basket tipped and bottles and things went rolling everywhere causing quite a commotion and people complained at him and writing this right now brings tears to my eyes....I told the girls I am going to help him and they both said no....he'll be okay and my heart seriously hurts that I didn't just go ahead and help him...he was feeling very unloved I'm sure right then and no one not even me helped and I feel very very ashamed......

Her words are so wise. I've been told by some that I need to "toughen up." I don't wanna!! I want to spread happiness and kindness and tread lightly on this earth and others' hearts. It IS the way to happiness.

SUCH great thoughts. Thank you for sharing. You must know the song "Anyway" by Martina McBride, one of my personal favorites, and you must love it. It is so YOU. If you haven't heard it yet, go and look it up immediately. You'll thank me later.

I love this quote by Plato. It is so true. So very true.
