we've been doing a lot of swimming lately.
and i've decided i hate the smell/feel of sunscreen.
but i've also decided:
one of my VERY favorite feelings....
like, as in
on my list of top 10 favorite feelings....
is:
when you're in the car, driving home from swimming,
{you've just been in the pool for an hour or two}...
your hair is dripping, sunglasses on,
your skin is like tight from the chlorine....
it's freaking hot outside & your seatbelt is burning you....
but you still have goosebumps 'cause of the cold car ac.
you're like tired & hungry, but like a good tired and hungry, ya know?
*and you're blasting country on the radio...
full-fledged belting lady antebellum while wrapped in a towel.
ya know that feeling??
omg, best feeling ever.
az summers are hardcore brutal
but occasionally i'm obsessed with them.

I don't know how you do it! I'm dying with 90 degree weather. :P Sunscreen is my friend too, no worries. :)
Haha, there is always a bright side!
You find the good in every single thing!! Thanks for coming to my house tonight!!! Love you!
I love that post-swimming stuff. It means summer fun!

um. let's pretend that az summers aren't brutal until after we move, k? and then...let's all be obsessed with them to make the ease easier... :)
um. i'm getting excited to see you in......3 1/2 weeks! :)
mmmmm I am drooling right now!! I could def. hit up that kinda afternoon any freakin' day. We are twins. nbd.
p.s. I LOVE the smell of sunscreen but DO NOT LOVE the feel!!
I miss those days when I actually put a suit on and went swimming....those thin feel good days....so long ago.. and now my suit has a hole in the knee...hahaha I do like the smell it reminds me of my kiddo's being little and swim team and beautiful tans but I never did like the feel of that or that stinkin' HOT seatbelt branding a mark across my front side!!! You know now that I think about it...that must be what happened to my boobs...they were burnt to a crisp and fell off!!!
You should try the Ocean Potion brand sunscreen. I have seen it at Walmart and CVS. i LOVE it becuase it smells good enough to eat. It still has a little of the nasty sunscreen smell. But mostly tropical. :) You might like it!
Bonus - my husband worked as a golf pro at a local resort (in Scotsdale). A dermatologist came in to golf and they were talking sunscreen (weird convo in a golf shop) anyway, he said you should always use sunscreen with Parsol 193...something. I can't remember excatly. This is the only sunscreen that has it, that I know of. I have never got burned (well, badly anyway) with this sunscreen.
