ding-dong the witch can't sleep

holla night-owls!
k, so sometimes i like to be really irritated about lame stuff.
for instance,
right now.

reason being:
i purchased a gallon of paint @ the de-pot this blessed evening for the specific purpose of quickly touching up some random spots on our walls. we went home, prepped...& long story short...it's like a tiny shade off. leaving me with a cow-like print of two taupe-ish colors on my walls...
awesome.

so right now, i'm losing sleep over this dilemma. do i go ahead & paint the whole frappin' room the new color? do i go back & try to re-match the old color? or do i stress about it for another week & let my house just remain in the too-messy-to-function-state that it has been for the past two?

if you can't tell...i'm sorta bitter.

but things are looking up already!

reasons being:
chloe learned how to ring the doorbell today!
and because myron is extremely attractive & a great father=fabulous combo!
and i really do
love life, even if painting is not my friend.

{have a happy independence-eve}

ok nightowl (i love it) the painting dilema would kick my butt and i would paint the whole room. Brian would say i'm crazy and it looks fine, but i really know i would notice it for the rest of my life. So since i am up I'll come over and we'll paint your room!!!

Sounds daunting to me! Almost as bad as installing adhesive shelf paper. Never, ever again.......

BTW, having the patience of not even a gnat, I'd just throw a coat on the whole room and go from there. Good luck!

LOL Oh sweet Ang. Maybe the cow look is hot right now and the word just hasn't spread to the good old town of Higley, AZ yet. I dunno! I'm sure whatever you decide to do...you will have put plenty of thought into it, and it will look freaking amazing, cuz you are cool like that. Love ya Ang!

go for a new color. go to the paint counter and tell them why you are there AGAIN. that'll make you feel better. it always does for me. we had the same prob. i even took in a my spanish style bowl. its got this awesome yellow in it, that i wanted my room to be. and what came out looked like caca. i tried to let them match it, didn't work. good luck there.

it sounds like your house is a big ole construction scrapper house. are you wearing your dickie white overalls? i wear a cool lowes painter hat my dad gave me. love it.

RRRGGG! I know the feeling...it happened to my kitchen the first time I painted it back when it was tan. You'll be best off repainting the whole thing, no matter how frustrating that may sound. Or like someone above me said...go for a new color. I personally love blue and green and purple and grey...all colors in my house right now! Call me if you need help - I am actually good at painting now. :)

You are too funny...because that is exactly what I would do...I loose sleep over things I can't do anything about at the moment, because I always want to fix everything "right now". One night before Mia was born I was up at like 1AM moving the crib into a hundred different positions trying to decide where I liked it (it's not like I could've just gone to sleep & worried about it in the morning or anything!) I vote you go for the cow look and get some manuer to go on the floor...you know -- go for the whole theme in the room!

I love that even though the paint dilemma is frustrating you, you still found joy in the fact that Chloe learned to ring the doorbell!:) Go Chloe!

Is it all the way dry? Sometimes it dries better. Sometimes NOT. haha. You know I'd love to help you paint. Is it the ceiling or the wall? The wall if I recall; I'm a poet and didn't know it. Anyway, let me know how I can help.

i HATE painting{love the idea of it, but actually doing it stinks}, and am really bad, so i say hire someone to do it for you!

What a nightmare! I think I'd have to repaint everything. Matt would tell me I was crazy, but I'd make him help anyway. I think I'd go nuts with mis-matched polka dots on my wall. :)

I love painting- HATE the prep work. I'd repaint. However I am sitting in a house that needs repainting immediately. Maybe I'll start prepping (ick) and paint this weekend. Happy days-
