i am {supa} allergic to ibuprofen. yet, still to this day can’t ever remember how to spell the stupid word: ibuprofen. is it an f or a ph?…who cares.
anyhoo, back to the story: i took a half of a pill in 7th grade because my legs were burning/inflamed w/ fire due to running the mile o’ taylor junior high girls pe aka my lifelong nemesis…{my time was probably about 11:23 btw}…but that’s beside the point.
i went to bed after partaking of the drug to rest my ridiculously sore appendages only to wake up at 1am to discover that my face was swollen to the size of lake tahoe & after a few more hours my throat was kinda starting to close off all anaphylactic shock style. {no worries, breathing’s not important or anything.} mi madre carted me to the ER to be i.v.’ed o’ benedryl/steroids, stat.
moral of the story: my life=drama.

That is so sad that you are allergic because ibprofen is basically my lifesaver when ANYTHING is hurting. I'm sad your mom didn't take pictures too. :)
MAN! I would give to see that pic Ang! Poor you, but yes I agree it would have been pretty comical.
That was one crazy night. Who knew what one little pill could do?
I so remember that! I am happy to say though, that was one ER trip not caused by me (your supposed BF, who occasionally sent you to the ER room when she thought playing w/ pennies would be a fun). Sorry again for that BTW. LOVE YA!!
I REALLY REALLY wish you had pictures to go along with this post:) Good thing you only took 1/2 pill...who knows what would have happened if you took more! Oh...I love your comments about running the mile(since I ALWAYS dreaded that day in PE!)
That was seriously the worst day of the year, when we had to run the mile. I think my time was probably way worse than yours though - like in the 13 - 14 range! I'm not kidding! What a scary thing to not be able to breathe. I'm glad you're still alive!

Do not ever take Vicodin. I can only imagine what would happen, and the post that would occur due to you taking it. ;) Girl, this story isn't funny, but you have made it FUNNY.
i can't run either! i think my time was always above 10 minutes! and that is so scary! i'm glad i have no crazy allergies{that i'm aware of}!
Wow. My roommate had an allergic reaction to something last year (not drugs, I think it was pollen or something), and her face got all puffy and we took a picture, and to this day, it is one of my favorites of her. Don't worry, she's fine, and her face is no longer swollen or enlarged at all.
I'm sorry for your misfortunes, but I am glad that you have decided to make lemonade out of the lemons that life has dealt you.

I am loving all your random posts about yourself...so fun! I am still dying over the night in LA you went looking for medicine alone!! By the way...I FINALLY made it to Costco and picked me up some Flax Pumpkin Raisin Crunch...so YUM!! I really think breakfast is my favorite meal...especially because healthy breakfast foods taste divine! Hmmmmm...maybe I should start a breakfast for 3 meals a day diet!

I remember when that happened! It was scary!!! We were all worried about you up here. I don't know what I'd do without ibuprofen. I take it for most anything that ails me. Glad to say, though, that things don't ail me very often, so I don't take a lot.
