feeling festive

last week chloe suggested we throw a halloween party.
i randomly said yes.

she helped me dig in our craft supplies for
scraps of ribbon & paper to make some simple invites
for her closest pals & little church friends.

we baked a million pumpkin-shaped sugar cookies to decorate.

...and came up with some simple games to play.

we had a lot of fun/ tender-mom&daughter-time planning it together.

i gave chloe $20 to spend at the dollar store [on supplies] for the event.
{oh, i've never seen her so excited!}

they all consumed way too much sugar & their moms might hate me for it.

BUT,

you're only a kid once, right?

cutest group of 4-year-olds ever.

such a fun memory.

Remind me to have kids at the same time as you and live in your ward so that you can provide this adorable-ness for my future kids! You are seriously the best mom ever, and I'm sure that Chloe knows and appreciates it!

I loved seeing the "Making of the party" process. I bet that was so fun for Chloe! (And I love how your super cute invites were from scraps. What?!.)
Thanks for all the work you put into that. Seriously, Grace loved it.

Seriously...I picked Dane up and on the drive home had one of those DUH moments. I totally want to be a party throwin mom! Dane had so much fun and truth be told...it was a tender moment sending my oldest out (alone) to his very first party. We should collaborate and do a Thanksgiving Feast! HUGS!
