mom, are you so proud of me?
ever since i drafted my "28 things" list, i've been itching to get started on one of the tough ones.
turns out, the new "sophie" line of moda fabric was all i needed as motivation.
it was extremely hard to choose a print...they are all amazing.
those tiny-baby houndstooths in every color completely slay me: SO CUTE!
*if you didn't know, scrapbooks etc. not only has the best scrapbooking supplies,
but it's also fabric heaven. prettiest, yummiest fabric in town.
anywho,
i did something i've never done.
i followed a pattern all by my little old self & made a fun new apron for work. :)
seems easy, but this kinda stuff tends to intimidate me.
so, i am kind of a nerd, and proud of myself for finishing this project in a timely manner.
yay for trying new things....and only having to unpick twice! :)

Go Angie!! Totally cute. Totally. And following a pattern still intimidates me....
Yes, I am soooooooooo proud of you! I knew you could do it. I love your fabric choices...it is TDF! Love the pattern too!
OHHHHH MY STARS!!!! LOVE IT!!!! You did GREAT!!!!! I am certain your Mom is very PROUD of you!
Well, it's way cuter than any apron I've ever made, that's for SURE! And I am totally intimidated by sewing/pattern-following/everything related, as Granny will be the first to confirm! I'm starting to think I may never get over it.
You deserve an A+.
{only 27 more "things" to do ~ you're on a roll!}
I love it! And I love the fabrics at Scrapbooks Etc.! I could spend hours and hundreds in there! Sewing can definitely be addicting, for me it's an outlet, it's my "me time"! Fantastic job!
Way to go! I love it!
Love it - can't wait to see you sporting it!
You could totally sell those! Everyone at Scrapbooks, etc is going to be SOOOO jealous!
It's cute! I have an apron in that style and it is really comfy. I think you'll appreciate one SBEtc customer encounter I remember very clearly. Two grandmas came into the store asking for "frog stickers." I hunted around and we finally found some. As we hunted I asked what they were for, and they replied, "The Ribbit Award." Then they explained that they are in a sewing/quilting club and someone gets an award every week for having had to rip out (unpick) the most stitches. Cute, huh? ;)
If your mom isn't, I am. :) DARLING apron. And I'm going to have to head down there and check out the fabric. I had no idea...
Yay!!! YOU ROCK!!!
I'm still not ready for the whole sewing thing but when I am I know where to get my fabric! :o)
Good for you! Its adorable! Love trying new things!
